- Go to modems in the control panel. Select the properties for your modem. Go
- to the connection tab, press the advanced button, and put in a startup init in
- the "extra settings" box that will turn sound on. I have a Cardinal
- MVP28.8IV, and if I wanted sound, I would probably try the following in that
- box:

- &FM1L2

- followed by any other codes necessary for high speed connections.
